Woodchip Services
We are producers of quality woodchip as a fuel for use in biomass boiler systems. This is not only a renewable fuel, but carbon neutral as well – ‘a real green fuel’. The raw material is sourced as locally as possible to reduce transportation.
Production
After
receiving the raw material round wood, slab wood etc, it is then stacked
for a minimum of 12 months before being chipped. This drying time is
necessary to get the moisture content below 30%. The chip can be produced
in a range of sizes, most common being G30 and G50 (Austrian standard).
A constant quality sample is produced by our Heizohack wood chipping
machine.
Supply
Supplies
to our customers can be arranged by the bulk load, as-and-when required,
or on a predetermined basis i.e. weekly, or monthly. Chippings are tipped
directly into the bunker or holding shed.
We are always pleased to discuss delivery methods with potential clients.
It is always a good idea to decide upon your bunker design before a decision
is made on your system. In our experience a lot of good systems are let
down by poorly planned storage facilities, so you are welcome to contact
us for advise.
Chipping Service
We
also offer the hire of a chipping service to customers with their own
supply of timber. Our chipping unit is fully mobile allowing us to give
a flexible service to customers with timber coming from their own; woodland,
saw mill or production process. In these instances it is possible for
us to come on-site and convert and blow the material directly into chip
store or farm trailer.
Timber
We're
always looking for new sources of timber to process into renewable solid
fuel. For example, we can assist by clearing woodland of brash and thinnings
